As an Account Representative III at Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU), we seek exceptional candidates who can adeptly respond to customer needs and uphold the integrity of our services. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
Customer Interaction Excellence: Responsively handle customer requests regarding the establishment, modification, or termination of water and/or wastewater services. Your ability to engage with customers effectively is paramount to our service delivery.
Confidential Customer Information Management: Maintain accurate and confidential customer records to facilitate the billing process for monthly water and wastewater services. Upholding the confidentiality and accuracy of this information is crucial.
Service Explanation and Payment Assistance: Clearly articulate the range of services offered, billing rates, and available payment options to customers. Your ability to guide customers through payment processes and address any inquiries is vital.
Revenue Collection: Ensure timely collection of monthly revenue, including setting up payment arrangements, managing deposits for past due accounts, conducting outbound collection calls, and assisting customers with online account management, all in accordance with AWWU Tariff regulations.
Efficient Account Adjustments: Accurately and promptly process service changes and adjustments to customer accounts, ensuring completeness and adherence to established protocols.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with internal divisions to provide comprehensive utility information and deliver cohesive services to our customers.
Proficient Software Utilization: Utilize various computer software applications for customer information management, GIS, online account management, Interactive Voice Response systems, and work order systems like Maximo and Service Order Mobile Dispatch.
Field Service Coordination: Facilitate appointments between customers and field service personnel using the Field Service Scheduler, particularly for on-property work orders such as key box locates, repairs, or service connection inspections.
Emergency Preparedness Participation: Actively participate in major emergencies or disasters as outlined in AWWU's disaster plan matrix. This may involve working 12-hour shifts for durations exceeding 72 hours, with availability seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Additional Duties: Undertake other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of AWWU operations.
