The safety and security of all individuals working at or visiting AWWU is of utmost importance. AWWU’s Safety Manager is tasked with coordinating the design of the Utility’s Life Safety Plan, including the Utility’s Emergency Procedures.

Safety Liaisons assist the Safety Manager. Safety Liaisons are employees responsible for initiating and carrying out the appropriate emergency response for each Utility section. Their performance is in accordance with established procedures and special instructions given by appropriate emergency or law enforcement personnel and/or AWWU’s Safety Manager.
