- Appointed: June 2012
- Appointment Expires: October 2025
Anchorage Dentist Terry Tauschek has a long history of involvement in Community and Public Health dentistry.
Following graduation from Marquette University’s School of Dentistry and residency with the US Public Health Service in Seattle, Terry joined the Indian Health Service.
He came to Alaska in 1973 as an itinerant Indian Health Service dentist travelling to remote locations around the state. He continued service as a contract dental provider upon opening a private practice in Anchorage in 1975. He now maintains a part-time private practice in Anchorage and supports Southcentral Foundation as staff dentist.
His professional experience has led him to commit to Community-based Public Health prevention as the most effective and inexpensive means of preventing communicable disease.
Terry and his wife, Debi English, share a blended family with three daughters, two sons, and eight grandchildren. When not working, they enjoy the Alaska outdoors.
